Who We Are..
|
|
Founded in 2009 in Wrentham, Massachusetts, Second and
Goal Software is the brainchild of experienced web/windows/database application
developer Tom Barnett. A youth football coach and administrator in his spare
time, Tom decided it was time to put his unique combination of software
architecture skills and knowledge of the game of football to use to fill a void
in quality software needed by the organizations he volunteers with. Out of this
grew the realization that there was an opportunity to meet demand for this type
of software in the community at large.

What's in a Name?
|
|
We're passionate about many things - not the least of
which is football. The strategy, teamwork, and work ethic needed to be
successful in the sport is something that translates to life in general.
One of the toughest situations in football is coaching defense in a goal-line
situation. In particular, a short-yardage second-and-goal situation is a huge
challenge. The offense has a myriad of options available to it - virtually every
play in the playbook, and with the potential for two more shots at the end zone
in the event of failure, they're not afraid to try just about anything.
Anticipating what your opponent will do, making sure your players understand,
and getting them in position to stop the play - all in the space of about 15
seconds - is part of what makes football such a great sport to be involved in.

Why Us? |
|
We'll take the time to truly understand your problem.
Often times the solution may seem obvious - but is it really the best solution,
and does it really solve the problem - not just now, but into the future?
At Second and Goal, we believe that the ability to analyze and understand a
problem is just as critical in solving it as technical expertise. What sets us
apart is our ability to marry that technical expertise to expert analysis and
problem-solving skills to come up with the most effective solution for you.
And in the end, that's what it's all about: practical, effective solutions to
real-world problems.
